Collin County is located in the northern part of the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex and is experiencing an explosive amount of growth within recent years. The population of Collin County is estimated around 700,000 and is still growing.
The county seat is located in the City of McKinney, home to the FC Dallas, a Major League Soccer team and home of the Central Park Campus. Collin County is one of the fastest growing counties in the United States, and is the wealthiest county in the State of Texas, and the 17th wealthiest in the United States.
Collin County has almost doubled in size since the 2000 census, with the major reason being the rapid suburban development north of Dallas. Cities such as Frisco, McKinney, and Plano are becoming extremely popular due to the master planning of its communities and neighborhoods, and Collin County has quickly become the most densely populated counties in Texas.
Collin County is extremely diverse, with a high Hispanic population and a fast rising Asian population, coupled with an extremely young, highly educated populus overall.
